Stage 2 Light Bulb

What about when you try to purchase light bulbs only to be lectured that there were only ever stainless stage 2 light bulbs made in the first place and the fellow that had the light bulbs for sale ignores your repeated requests.....makes you wonder if he ever had the light bulbs for sale in the first place. Hence,,, no light bulbs ever got replaced

Two pages later and it's been six months. I thought I'd bring this back up for a laugh. Anyone else want to chime in? LOL

how many watt is the bulb? is the fixture rated for the bulb? incandescent or florescent, Mercury-vapor, medal-halide, L.E.D. Whats the output in luminaries

Okay - in the spirit of the original post in this thread:

I have to point out that the use of luminaries in the quote above is incorrect. Per Merriam-Webster, luminaries would apply to a person of prominence or brilliance, or a body that gives light.

Main Entry: lu·mi·nary
Pronunciation: \ˈlü-mə-ˌner-ē\
Function: noun
Inflected Form(s): plural lu·mi·nar·ies
Etymology: Middle English luminarye, from Anglo-French & Late Latin; Anglo-French luminaire light, luminary, from Late Latin luminaria, plural of luminare lamp, heavenly body, from Latin, window, from lumin-, lumen light; akin to Latin lucēre to shine — more at light
Date: 15th century
1 : a person of prominence or brilliant achievement
2 : a body that gives light; especially : one of the celestial bodies
— luminary adjective

The proper term to use in the quote would have been "lumens" (the lumen is the SI* unit of luminous flux, a measure of the perceived power of light) or "lux" (the lux is the SI unit of illuminance and luminous emittance).

Again, this mis-use of the word "luminaries" is merely pointed out in the spirit of this thread...

Rob

* SI = International System of Units (abbreviated SI from the French le Système international d'unités)

Thanks Silver Fox for shining a light on such a glaring error. We are all a little brighter now.
