FUEL SYSTEM??

I have some input.. Some you may like and accept, some you may reject.;)
1. I don't think the SX pump will keep up w/ what you are going to do. I see 128mph in the sig. I assume you are planning on going faster?? If so, then the SX will not support the HP level.BTDT
I would look at the flow[supported HP] rating of that pump. Be aware there are 2. 1 is for an N/A application and the 2nd is forced induction. No 2 will be lower.
I use the Aeromotive products.
2. I recommend the following:
A. Sump tank w/ a -12 feeding the pump.
B. Pre- pump filter in the 70 to 100 micron size.
C. Check valve AFTER the pump.
D. A 10 micron filter in the feed line to protect the injectors.
I use -10 feed. I never use that alum line. It is prone to cracks and kinks. I use Aeroquip pushloc and a anti abrasion wrap. I also use a fireshield wrap in hot areas.
You can get AN fittings that will screw directly into the filters and pump. They are sealed w/ 0'rings.
The aftermkt system IS NOT a cheap mod...
You can spend a grand on it, easily!

HTH,

As Chuck stated the alum lines are a little cheezy in my opinion. I also use the Aeroquip pushlock hose and fittings. They are about a bit ove half the cost of the braided stuff. Ive heard of lots of folks with have problems withe the SX pumps, but some havent.

I run a Weldon 2015 in my car. way over kill for now, but im ready for that Stage motor when it gets done.

Good Luck

thankyou for the responses. i was hoping that the sx pump would be better than my 340m . the aluminum line sounded line a good idea since braided lines destroy everything they touch including my hands!. im gonna look into the push lok hose. another person suggested using Parkerhose and fittings. As u can see i removed my buildup from my sig as it is a "controversial "setup. i plan on slowing my car down to the 11.0 range to keep it more enjoyable on the street.

i still have a few more questions.

1. how far will the sx pump take me?
2. can i mount it under the trunk floor between the rearend and the tank?
3. how do i route the hoses?

thank you very much ...as u can see im just trying to reduce my experimentation time and stick with proven setups.

if you are only going to run 11.0, a single 340 is plenty....why mess around with anything else?

azgn...you are very correct. this is why-

1. i have an sx pump just sitting here.
2. my stock feedline has been patched and spliced 3-4 times and is getting scary.
3. my tank is already sumped with the ports blocked off.
4. that 11.0 limit varies with my mood.:D

the aluminum fuel line will work just fine....i know of a guy with a 9 second camaro with a 1/2" aluminum feed line with no problems

I still dont trust that alum line...especially on FI.

If u were to go through the Parker catalog im sure that you would find something comparable to the Aeroquip push loc hose. You wont save anything im sure. So its easier just to order from Jegs. They keep the -10 & -12 stuff in stock.Summit didnt last i checked.

What a puss!

You want to make that car run just send it down here. I got a nice big cliff we can push that turd off. I'm sure it will hit 129mph before it hits bottom. I also guaranty that the rods will still be inside the motor when you come to pick it up.

I say go with the braided line. You got your engine compartment all tricked out looking. Why not finish it off that way? Stop spending all your money on those porn site member ships and go get the good stuff. Put on some gloves or some of that hand lotion we all know you got. That should help protect those soft girly boy hands of yours.

Anyways, good luck with the turd mobile!

Hey champ:

I forgot to mention that I popped me a few wheelies this year. I still havent run 128mph yet :( . I was thinking maybe you should pour a can of corn or a jar of peanuts in the gas tank. Might be just the ticket to help you get that turd mobile of yours out of the hole.
