how do you do it does it make a big difference in performance also how far to get heads decked

i ported my heads and intake and it takes forever but i was very extensive with it dont know yet how effective but seat of the pants it feels about the same with stock turbo , down from ta 33 and only 12 psi down from 17 so when i hit the track ill post my times so you can see if there faster
