help with pushrods

just installed a 218/218 hyd flat tappet comp cam. wondering what size pushrod to go with stock or a little longer? help greatly appreciated. never been this far into a motor

Stock should be fine on a flat tappet.

if running stock rockers and iron heads you should be able to run the stocker pushrods (stock length) but i would consider a better pushrod than the stockers considering the rev potential and increased lift of the cam will increase the pressure and stress on the pushrods

and once its broke in id change out the old springs for new 980s as comp recommends with that cam

Does anyone know what stock length is? Comp cans says 8.684. Is 8.7 too long?
