Help with DFI/LABTOP software????

I just recently purchased a labtop computer(toshiba 405). I need to know what i need to communcate with my DFI. I already have the translater harness. Right now it's not communicating.

When you hook up the laptop, if it just sits at trying to communicate with ECU, make sure your com2 port is available and open in device manager on your computer.
Also if you want boot into DOS mode, it will give you screen c:\windows
insert your floppy calmap disc into the floppy drive
then type a:\
should bring up a:\CALMAP>
then after the word CALMAP> type this in calmap com2 )
so it should read like this a:\CALMAP>calmap com2 )
when ACCELL screen comes up hit edit ECU should work.

What version is the OS (3.1, 95, 98) on the laptop? If it is win98 the best thing is to just restart in MS-dos and then run the calmap program. If 3.1 and 95 should let you run it inside of the OS.
