Going to Mecum auction in Indy....

Has anyone ever went to their auctions? My father in law is interested in trying to find a car.

87 GN with 19,500 miles sold for 21k

There were several beautiful cars. I would have loved to had some spare change. I have some money set back but that is going for a new garage.

Father in law ended up getting a 69 Camaro convertible. Will post pics and details later.

BBC with 565 hp at the crank. The car has it's issues though. Blower fan and the wipers don't work and the engine dies when you come to a stop. Gonna check out the carb tomorrow.

Anybody know how much the motor sold for? That Camaro looks really nice. Did he get a good deal?

Got it for $32k. I would say it was a good deal!

On Friday there was a 87 GN that sold for $8,000. It was a little odd to say the least. It had metallic paint and the badging wasn't right as far as placement.
