Found a website that has reman. G.N. engines for $995.Thats a too good to be true deal,Could I get some other input on this from other G.N. owners who know or have heard anything about these people before i make a purchase.Any info would be appreciated!

THANKS!!

Oh yeah the website is WWW.rebuilt-auto-engines.com:

Well, the block and heads have the correct casting numbers. That still leaves questions such as:
  • What is the maximum overbore they allow?
  • Does the crankshaft have rolled fillets?
  • What type of pistons are used?
  • Do they all recieve the proper turbo headgaskets?

It's just hard to believe that they would put all the good stuff on an engine that very well may wind up in a Vin A, N/A application.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is not true!

The parts alone cost that much?

they say badger pistons and hastings rings...junk

and the valve train is all elgin which really aint too bad but not the best by a long shot.
