Fuel Line Loop Question...

I am installing a new tank (not sumped), aeromotive external pump, all with -8 lines. I heard from someone that you need a loop of line somewhere near the tank. What is it's purpose and where does the loop go? Do I even need a loop.

Done several cars with external pump(s) and never used a loop.
What I am guessing you mean by a loop is just a circle of fuel hose, but I can't fathom why.

If you are installing a tank in your trunk, an external vent line is required. This line will need a "loop" to keep fuel from spilling.
