First Time at Track for both me and my car

I will say it is def a handful !! Blast just driving it around. Not goin to race it till I feel comfy with it. :D Although I do have a race coming up with a FAST HA car. Have to get this running good by then :p

Not a lot of cutting . Radiator was kind of a pain.. 200R4 GN trans. Wanted to use as much Buick stuff as I could because we have a LOT of parts! Rear end is an 8.8 Ford solid axle. Has a rear frame section done so the rear bolts in like a stock Mustang. That was a lot of work to. BUT the "FUN" factor made it all worth it.

I couldn't imagine how fun all that torque would feel in that little beast. Talk about power

I installed the adjustable wastegate tonight. I'm running right at 10 pounds. I hope to get to track tomorrow to start turning up the boost a bit.

Did you get some sticky tires yet?
You should be melting the street tires at launch if not. Post ur new time slips here

still street tires
i am still stock aircleaner, exhaust, intercooler screen, etc.

interesting the difference i can feel in performance between the 11-12 pounds and 10 pounds on first try of adjustable wastegate

i want to make a run or two at the 11-12 in these cooler temperatures then will turn up boost

at 11 pounds i had plenty of tire but it was very hot out

Good luck with your runs Joe! I just switched out to a 160 therm today and will change out my -233 to a -237 FPR in preparation for the TT 5.7 chip after lunch.

Beautiful weather today. You should do better that last time just by the weather alone...

crazy day at track so far
seems like every other car breaks
sitting for second run in 3 hours
first run was mess
i have turned up bit of boost hope to get second run
joel

Ok here is how it went
It was hot again, around 80.
Run1
10 psi
60 - 2.359
330 - 6.374
1/8 - 9.741
Mph-71.95
1000-12.868
1/4-15.975
Mph-68.41
First run with helmet thought it hung in second was just me not hearing things as I had in the past so I got out of it for no reason

Run 2
13 psi
60-2.304
330-6.168
1/8-9.398
Mph-75.45
1000-12.226
1/4-14.637
Mph-93.61
O2-695

Run 3
13 psi
60-2.226
330-6.166
1/8-9.420
Mph-74.8
1000-12.274
1/4-14.704
Mph-93.00

Run 4
13 psi
60-2.328
330-6.288
1/8-9.560
Mph-74.48
1000-12.433
1/4-14.879
Mph-93.12
O2-746

There were a ton of cars and many failures we were waiting over an hour in between runs. Therefore, I took advantage of the end of day and just kept lining up and did not take time to adjust waste gate in between runs.

Saturday is not the day to go to the track, just too busy.

She still feels a bit slow even for the 13 psi.

Thoughts?

Joel

How much psi at launch?
Mph is there. Try some street launches for practice. I think its just time to uncork the turbo. If Pronto is local, have him get some seat time with you.

It's running just like it should. You could raise the fuel pressure a little and see what it does to the MPH as your O2 numbers are low. Then continue up to 17 lbs of boost while monitoring O2s and spark retard. It's time for the regulator.

Keep up the good work! get those 60' down and you'll be in the 13's in no time. yeah the 80 deg weather doesn't help!
