Fel pro Permadry valvecovers

I've been running the Fel Pro perma dry for a few years now, and no leaks. This is on GN1 heads with TA valve covers.

I got Cometics I’m putting on in the next couple weeks. Anything special I should know when putting them on? Did you put them on dry or with any RTV? Any trimming needed? TIA.
Dry and done you can remove them all you want .i run solid lifters and ha em off 20 times

I have had great success with the cork Felpro gaskets. I use RTV silicone on one side of the gasket, and put it down on a dry/clean surface of the head. Then I put the valve cover on. A lot of leaks are made when people over torque the valve covers. They don't need to be reefed, that's what distorts the gasket and causes leaks. I just tighten to lite tension and stop. This will eliminate that dreaded oil on the X over pipe.
