FAST rpm vs. stock tach rpm...

Just wondering which number to trust. Did a WOT run tonight and the stock tach went up to about 6500 rpm in 1st gear, but on the FAST log it shows it only going up to about 5400. I have a different transmission (TH350 vs. 700R4 stock)...

If you mean the stock tach on the dash just above the stock boost gauge, they are notoriously inaccurate. Mine is about 1000 rpm high at 5000 rpm. Trust the FAST.

Think about this- if the FAST has the wrong RPM, your fueling & timing will be ALL messed up. The FAST MUST be (pretty) accurate if your engine is running!

Good point...

Understandibly, it's difficult to stay in it when the tach goes WAAAAY into the red... Just making sure.
