engine sensor on top at front of passenger valve cover

on the front top of my passenger valve cover is an engine sensor. has a vacuum line connected to one port. any ideas what this sensor is, and is only (1) vacuum line supposed to be hooked up?

That controls the turbo. Do a search. one line is connected and the other stays open.

Wastegate solenoid. There should only be one line hooked to it, the other came with a little foam filter on it.
