Anyone have pictures of the procedure for cutting the trunk floor for broke loose body mount bolts and castle nuts?

Is this the only alternative to get the rear Bolts off? Their has to be another way! My Trunk looks New...

No pics. But I remember I had to do that with my first TR. It was unpleasant but necessary....

Pretty much just like you would think. Make an X and peel it open to get the job done. Goober it up with seam sealer when finished.

Is it possible that you have to cut a square hole right where their is a little hump the size of a Head Bolt?
I will start mine on Sat. Then I will either Tig or Mig back the piece I cut.

I am almost finished the work. I have taken pics along the way, so by next week I will post up what I did.

So here is my step by step of what I did. I used TNT Aluminum Mounts. Cut a Hole with a 2 1/2" Hole Saw and tack welded back the Plate. I only needed to this to the rear Driver side. Used some Finishung Putty and it's as good as new. painted with Plasti-Kote Bed Liner Anti-skid. To give that Wrinkle finish like original.
