Mo Vaugn ,former Red Sox player had one. Sold or gave it to his cousin who was also his agent. He then proceeded to streey race it all over the place. Bob Borelli (Buick Racer) tuned it and did most all of the mods to it. It recently ended up with a twin turbo chevy motor in it.

Unfortunately, no pictures. I've gone to Borelli's shop maybe 3 -4 times over the years and every time I went there that particular car was there. I heard that some people saw that car race on RT.140 in New Bedford and they said they never saw anything that mean on the street. I think his name was Clarence Vaugn (Mo's couisin). He was always doing something to it. Maybe if I had my camera phone like I do now I could have got some pics. BTW, that shop was always spotless and Bob was pretty layed back. Seems like he's very methodical and very knowledgeable. A little off topic but I even saw a brand new crate motor there that was built for Mark Donohue when he raced Javelins so successfully in the TransAM series back in the late sixties. Borelli used to be into American Motors cars and raced them back in the day. I guess he has always liked to do things the hard way.

I don't know if Burt Reynolds still has his GNX or not but he had one. I saw a show on TV about Carmen Electra and she said she bought her husband a grand national. I was like "SWEET!"

There is one in Chicago area for sale that was owned by one of the band members of Chevelle.

Charles Schwab I think had a GNX. Was watching TV a couple years ago and Funk Master Flex came on. He interviewed some rapper guy (can't remember who it was) who had 3 or 4 VERY expensive cars. A Jag, a BMW, etc. His favorite was his GN. So he took Flex for a drive and the entire 10 minute interview took place in the GN!

Sam Kinnisons car was a GTA not a turbo car.Sucks he's gone ither way.The motor for that small block twin turbo swap I think is in the front part of a recent(last 3-4 issues) of HOT ROD.On the pump at Dutweilers according to the blurb under the photo.Funk Flex is kind of goofy.

David Spader show on Comedy central GN?

There was a show on Comedy central that has David Spader as a host. I was doing the usual GUY thing Cklicking the remote at the time. I swear I saw a GN drive by shown on the intro to this show.

That Funk Master Flex interview was one of the best all-time TV moments in history. Carmen actually bought him the car for Xmas or something. It was so cool doing the interview in the car. I went to website to get the DVD but no luck.
