carfax/title question

I did a carfax on a car I'm going to look at this afternoon, but don't know what to make of this. Carfax shows the car titled with 20 miles in 87 and first owner reported. Then in 89 the title is "issued or updated" again with 18k miles on it. It doesn't say second owner though. The ad said it was an original owner car so I'm not sure what to make of this. I'm just assuming it's a two owner car though. What do you guys think? It's also apparently 30k miles now. Another thing I'm doubting, but hopefully I'll be pleasently surprised. Car also has astroroof and the guy is asking $17,500.

Double check but usually a title is reissued once the lien holder is paid to remove the lien holder from the title. Looking at this would be my guess.

In layman's terms that means the car was paid off, and he got the title from whoever financed it.

The car's condition certainly didn't reflect that of 30k miles. It was pretty decent for what is most likely 130k miles though. Oh well, the search continues...
