Can we mix 110 leaded gas w/ 100 nolead?

I have the heated O2, so I can run leaded gas....but do we have to drain any unleaded fuel before using leaded gas???

I can't find any gas locally that is that high of octane without lead, so my options are limited....or does the 108 octane boost work :)

Any help would be appreciated,

Mark

Dont put any octane boost in it, you should be able to mix it fine. Just might want to turn your boost down to compensate for the lower octane and watch for knock.

Yes you can mix it. The resulting octane will be about equal to the weighted average, so if you have 10 gallons of 100 octane and add 5 gallons of 108 you will net about (10*100 + 5*108)/(10+5) = 102.7 That's why you would probably drain the 100 - the more of that you get rid of the closer the final octane will be to the 108 you are putting in. Even with the heated sensor the lead will slowly kill it.

That is good to know....thanks for the tips. As for alcohol, I wouldn't have a clue :(

hmmm....anyone know what stations might carry higher than 100 octane in a "no lead"??

...anyone from West Michigan?

Thanks,

Mark
