Blower Motor Ground

I have got my car ready for the summer, But the blower motor wont blow.
I found that the ground wire at the blower motor that plugs into the connector at the fender has no wire on the other side of the connector? This would be the side that goes to the actual ground point on the car.
I have a test ground on the blower motor and it now works. My question is where is the correct ground point at? Yes I do wonder where in the heck the original wire went in the first place????

Thanks

I just looked at my 87, the ground lug at the blower motor has a 12ga Black wire the goes into the wire loom. I would have to tear the loom apart to see where it goes from there. Sorry.

It grounds inside the car near the kick panel where the ECM is. It's a ring terminal and it's screwed down.

You are the man. I had just put new carpet in and must have broke the ring terminal.
Replaced and the blower motor works again!!!

Thanks for the help and info.
