Been away for a while - What happened to Mease?

Important enough for what the sale or no sale of a product your kidding right, how important then are these two qualities to you when shopping? 2 qualities btw you as a customer have such little control over. To you your statement is true yet but that may not be true fort everyone else. An other words what you meant to say was, "Well those are 2 important qualities FOR ME"

product and quality are 1000x more important for then personal issues and business behavior of a vendor or a company. Be it Mease or Walmart, sorry this doesn't hold true for you. Personal issues which me as a customer could never understand fully anyways isn't as important as my product working right. Even if your the vendors or companies friend you would never be able to understand their personal issues fully anyways. Business behavior isn't as important to me as quality of work (if you look at just vendors off this form shall can we all start to make a list of shady business behaviors from all the vendors? that would be a long list of vendors sadly enough to say). So simply stated, personal or business behavior is not important to me when when I am shopping, if this were true I wouldn't buy gas, oil, pay taxes support American companies etc etc. i could care less what the guys looks like, acts like, talks like, who he's friends with or not etc etc. I care about my product working right and lasting a long time the first time I buy it WELL BEFORE i care about wtf they do in life on their own time or what they look like or how act like towards others with their business (2 qualities which a customer has little to ZERO control over anyways in reality)

So true. I would much rather pay for a quality hand fabricated product that I never see from mease than buy a quality mass produced product from someone else. Really, he should price his products like this.

Absolutely. So long as he is not involved in any way his parts are nice.

just like you understand your friends here, and its really cute btw when you guys use sexual and elementary comments as verbal weapons very honorable rofl, and you 'understand' each other. I "understood" mease's position. Sorry for those who cried about it didn't get there pipe on time, what do you want me to do about it tell a lie and say it took forever when it didn't? I understood his stuff would pay itself off eventually so I picked it up, I know good welding when I see it. what cost me around $400 for a DP sold for years later in 2008 for almost double that at around $750.

BOTTOM LINE
I didn't know mease, I bought a DP off him after reading info online, it almost paid itself off in 4 years after resale. I have never seen any DP do that before ever in tb history. His products are top notch, the rest as ANYONE CAN READ here is just a story. But regardless of the story, his products are always the solid I dont see anyone arguing that fact at least. I'd buy back the DP if I could just because of its rareness, quality, real american made stainless, and story behind it.

If you make an comment about how business practices don't matter and then imply people are screwed up when they disagree I don't see why you wouldn't expect a reaction. Many would consider that to be an ignorant position to take and they are just as entitled to there opinion as you are. Yes, his parts were nice and I'm happy that you got yours on time. You're the fluke though and that makes warning others a reasonable thing to do.

If I had not known, and ordered and recieved, no biggie however If I found out before hand of issues, I would not put myself into the situation.
It seems that whatever personal probs he had rolled over into his bizz practice so your hypothesis does not seem to apply to your argument... we are talking about one dude and one dude only and the trail of broken promises and empty wallets.

Keith Mease

So the saga continues....anyone who might remember the thread I started last year about Keith Mease...(Looking for information on Keith Mease) my husband, Eric Schertz, passed away while his 1987 TType was in Keith's possession. Same old story...Keith was doing work for him and he never managed to get the car back from him before he died. They were actually personal friends so I had his and his wife's phone numbers...after months of trying to resolve things with him, I went there with friends and a police escort and got the car back with a lot of the parts, but not the engine, transmission or many parts Eric paid him to manufacture. I finally got my lawyer involved and the Salem County Sheriff's office should have received an order this week to serve him for my lawsuit against him. Now I am reading here that he may be in JAIL!! I still have many numbers for him and for some of his family. I will try calling them tomorrow and the Salem County Sheriff's office to see if I can get anymore information.

Of course if anyone has any information they can add to help those of us who are trying to get our stuff back from Mease, please post.
