Fellow Buick Lovers,
I've been away from the board for a while, (sold my GN due to a military move), anyway, what ever happened to Keith Mease? I remember he used to make downpipes and intercoolers. Is he still in business? - Tom

type in Mease, then hit the search button...Lots of informative reading.....

I don't think he's still in business anymore. Right now, he's being sued by Liz Schertz, the widow of the late Eric Schertz of Dynotech for refusing to give her back the engine that used to belong to Eric. At the time of his death, Eric's white '87 T-Type had been at Mease's shop for over two years, with promises (read: "lies") from Mease that he would do some work on it. Sadly, Eric passed away, without ever seeing his car again. Fortunately, with the help of several members of this board and escorted by the police, Liz was able to recover the car, but not the engine, so she's suing him to get back what she's entitled to. That's where we stand at the moment...Mease has always been known to be a great fabricator of custom-made pieces, but a real a**hole when it comes to honesty and reliability, and I doubt that there's anyone interested in doing business with him anymore now that the truth is out.

Shame

Wow, that's a shame. Well, I hope the lady gets back what's rightfully hers. It seems that so many times people who possess great talent, (NFL players, NBA players, etc) end up having a bad lack of character. Then we end up reading about them being arrested for one thing or another. Thanks for the info. - Tom

if you forget his personal issues and business behavior

his work was fantastic once you actually received it, from what I remember
the intake he did for a westcoaster looks dreamy!

Yep, that's what I wrote in my previous post (Read my last sentence in post #3) .

I have one of his upper plenums, the welds are beautiful. BUT I had to pick it up, and then wait for him to finish it (btw I got it from ebay). I wouldnt buy anything from him again though because of all the BS I had to go through

Mease? Thunderfab? Pt52? 50 pounders? Wow, you HAVE been away for a while lol :) Mease has been gone for a LONNG while. How long has it been since you sold your car mate?
I know the deal, as I deploy alot too :( Though, the army paid for my car storage :) woohoo

I just received my latest issue of Street Thunder, and there is an article in there about a guy who has a Blown 95' Impala SS and in the article it said that the owner contacted Keith Mease at MPE Racing Fabrication in Pennsville, NJ to get his blower on to his LT1 V-8. Is this the same guy?

Well those are 2 important qualities;)
Important enough for what the sale or no sale of a product your kidding right, how important then are these two qualities to you when shopping? 2 qualities btw you as a customer have such little control over. To you your statement is true yet but that may not be true fort everyone else. An other words what you meant to say was, "Well those are 2 important qualities FOR ME"

product and quality are 1000x more important for then personal issues and business behavior of a vendor or a company. Be it Mease or Walmart, sorry this doesn't hold true for you. Personal issues which me as a customer could never understand fully anyways isn't as important as my product working right. Even if your the vendors or companies friend you would never be able to understand their personal issues fully anyways. Business behavior isn't as important to me as quality of work (if you look at just vendors off this form shall can we all start to make a list of shady business behaviors from all the vendors? that would be a long list of vendors sadly enough to say). So simply stated, personal or business behavior is not important to me when when I am shopping, if this were true I wouldn't buy gas, oil, pay taxes support American companies etc etc. i could care less what the guys looks like, acts like, talks like, who he's friends with or not etc etc. I care about my product working right and lasting a long time the first time I buy it WELL BEFORE i care about wtf they do in life on their own time or what they look like or how act like towards others with their business (2 qualities which a customer has little to ZERO control over anyways in reality)

I for one would still buy from Mease in a blink of an eye

It is called Ethics and customer service, #1 in my book.

Because if somebody with those 2 qualities sell you an inferior product they will make it right.

Obviously M***e is a liar, thief, and cheat that buids a pretty good downpipe.... boy that a plus....

Dont put quotes in my mouth and tell me what you want to say to make yourself feel better for being immoral...

Now go play with yourself...........

Maybe if theres a store front and you can walk in..see the product, pick it up then make an informed decision as to weather or not you want to flip the coin.

Your razzing Ty for making a valid point

business behavior..if its shady might mean you wont even get your PRODUCT after you paid deposit or infull upfront and...

If theres PERSONAL ISSUES such as the dude is on friggun crack...well there goes the QUALITY...thats if the money you paid wasnt spent on the crack and your PRODUCT is then put on the back burner because the moneys spent, so you wont even get your PRODUCT to even find out what kind of QUALITY there is...Not

its not fun working for free once you been paid and robbing peter to pay paul...ive seen it before and no thanks.

I wouldnt care if the dude made $hit out of solid gold...if his PERSONAL life has become unmanagable then his bizz practice will suffer as well.
