Anybody backfiring ?

You may want to disconnect your muffler and try running the car . any kind of muffler that restricts exhaust swirl should not be used , you need a flow through design . this car did run for years with the flowmaster on it but it started causing issues once the baffles became dislodged (overheated engine bay , constant egr codes)
The trouble was intermittant and difficult to find to say the least , some exhaust still flowed through the plugged muffler but not enough to clear the exhaust pipe before backfiring . Constantly loose exhaust fittings , unexplained heat underhood , hesitation are all things to look for , also the engine will be sucking in air more than normal .
