Okay firstly what PSI can i expect from a STOCK TR in first gear.
beacause this car is stock to my knowledge but i'm maxing out my stock LED guage in FIRST gear. 2 red lines!

second my car seems to pop quietly and very frequently especially while on boost.
at ANY throttle position, just much more often on boost.

i replaced the plugs, wires, TPS is set to .46 and didn't get a chance to set @ wot today before it started raining.

another question, HOW can i plug the PCV @ the inlet bell... curently i have a hose with a bolt in the middle, wrapped in elec tape but it keeps pushing out after driving. all the above is happening with this PLUGGED FYI.

currently as a temp solution i'm runnign a patched up mafpipe... with aluminum tape.... maybe it's still leaking?

oh an this car has over half a million KM

:) ModFather

First, it's normal to max out the Dash boost lights,, the factory gauge is a little generous... although be sure the wastegate vac hoses are good, and well attached...

Second,MAF tube could be causing you problems,, it'll cause it to be lean,,, 'cause of air leaks(extra air the ECM doesn't know about. ) You oughta replace it with a Solid.
Also, the metal tubes under the throttle body become clogged sometimes with oil gunk. These are very important, especailly the one to the fuel pressure regulator,, it'll make it pop sometimes from being lean. Also, the little filter on the egr solenoid should be replaced occasionally(it's under the black cap.)
Second, .45 TPS, engine running is max for idle.

Third, if you have a laptop, i use turbolink for tuning, it made learning how things work alot easier. You might think about getting it. It tells you all the numbers.

the part you want for the turbo bell is called a bypass cap. they have at any good auto parts store. if you are not sure on size they sell apackage with an assortment for like 3 bucks. then use the correct size hose clamp to attach.

Might go to www.gnttype.org and read about "spring cleaning" then read about "hot and spicy" build recipes.

The first thing gngttype is going to say is "...GET A BOOST GAUGE"

There should be no air leaks anywhere, intake or exhaust.

At idle the vaccum should be about 19 lbs in PARK, or about 14 or so in DRIVE.

Almost everyone has a solid MAF pipe. Check out this picture

I like to run my TPS around 42 to 46

Use the PCV as designed, unplug it, and connect it to the vaccum billet on top of the TB
