87 turbo regal ca emissions

hi there..was wondering what the differences are between the 49 state federal and California emissions equipment on an 87 turbo regal? I know the chip is different, which begs the question, would my car run better with a non cali emissions chip? thanks

none that I could ever see except for the under the hood emissions sticker

Yes it would run better with a Turbo Tweak chip. Even all stock. The change is VERY apparent. Better idle, tip-in, drivability..... pretty much everything about the drivability is just better. Not to mention with upgrades.
