I have found info here in the archives on how a 28" tire is benificial in getting the rpm back in its optimal range for a 1/4 mile tracks. I haven't however read where anyone has commented on 1/8 mile advantages or disadvantages by going with a 28" tire. Has anyone got any real time track data either way?

Thanks,

I cant see there being any particular advantage to a 28" tall tire on a 1/8 mile track unless you're running bigger gears or have an extremely fast TR. There may be some advantage to the extra sidewall giving more cushion for better 60 ft times. As long as you have plenty of steam left in 3rd gear a 26" tire should be fine though.

Being an 11:00 car I agree. I just wanted some reinforcement on my thoughts. Thanks for the reply
