$13,000 and runner up in the biggest heads up class was a $50 gift certificate that we will never use.
$50 in gas money would have been better.

Ronnie, to be clear are you saying all Ernie got for being the runner up in THS at the BPG was a $50 gift certificate????

Really would be nice if all the payouts would have been posted ahead of time. Might have helped to get more racers there if they were big. But a $50 gift cert aint much for runner-up.

Yes sir, and it is not about the money as much as the hipe leading up too it. $13,000 in payouts woohoo
We left Norwalk on a rainout in the semis and was happy to get $50 back out of $200 we spent in fuel.

Would have liked to have seen you there but don't blame you for not spending the money.
Hope to see you at BG this year John.

We will definately be in Bowling Green Ronnie. Would like to have made more events this year but they are all so far it seems. Can only take so much time off running a businesss. Plus the cost of travel when only one other car in the class shows up.

I will tell you an interesting story that I like telling. Years ago at the MWBC the payouts for TSO were posted and onlt two cars showed up and neither could run fast enough to meet the minimum qualifying time so I asked Lloyd what he was going to do. His answer was "I posted the payouts and the guys came and tried, I am going to give them the full payout." To me this says a lot about the event and the guy running it.

Agreed John I thought bout it myself ,but expense and the heat just wait and race when it cooler hope to see everyone at BG kinda crap on the payout .

John

If you are only a turbo change away from THS you could get another turbo and then not have that problem. We would be glad to have you.

Take care, Kip

Still cant believe I was the only one there in TSM back in the day 12-25 cars always.Very disappointing could have used you there .If it wasnt for the king of the hill race I wouldnt have even had a race all day.Might just go to quick 16 and bracket race.I cut a .51 light and havnt bracket raced in years.I just like the heads up racing

lets see we had 3 Turbo classes and only 5 cars showed up maybe they should have done what Fiscus did and try something new

I've thought about it Kip but it's alot more than a turbo change for me. I certainly do appreciate the invite.

I'm with you Bobby, I like the heads up racing, but what fun is it if you are the only car? I planned on going to norwalk but my plans changed at the last minute. Did you even get to race TSM then? Did you get 1st place payout? Hope to see you in BG.

I was paid at Norwalk 4 weeks later .didn't really think I would so I left before the rain .only two cars there.Bill sent me a small check with a note thanking me for attending. As far as payout at BPG I will pm you DDay I was treated fair by the event personal.IMHO we will lucky if we see any of these events in the future if this is the turnout they get.I think total we had 11 turbo cars in 3 classes.Thats 550.00 total racing fees. Thanks to TA Performance and the BPG .HAd a great time !

The winner of THS will also get a gift certificate from Full Throttle Speed for $100

What's this mean? What did fiscus try?

Fiscus tried the Finishline Furious 4 and Qualified...he almost made it to the final...he raced against a V8 car...yes we get a lot of donations but does not all go to the Turbo classes...why not try for the Q16...for the past few years at most of the Buick events it is hard to get a 8 car field...BPG is non profit...we give back to the racers that show up... 5 racers $60 per day if not a member is $600 thru the gate...what should the payout be...
