2-3 Full Throttle shift help

I had a local trans shop rebuild the 200r4 transmission in my TTA. I had them install a PTS XTREME BILLET SERVO, ALTO RED EAGLE WIDE BAND, And a PTS 300M band anchor pin. My 1st to 2nd shift is firm and tire chirping awesome at any rpm, but the 2-3 shift kinda feels like it slips and the engine revs when at full throttle(works fine in normal driving conditions/situations). Can something be added to help? Maybe a different shim in the servo pin? I didn't do the install, so I'm not sure which shim was used? I would assume which ever was recommended. At normal driving the trans shifts all the gears firmly and on time, but at full throttle my 2-3 shift just dosent seem right, is there a way to adjust it without sacrificing the normal drivability?

Thanks, Gary

Your direct clutch is slipping. What type of clutches were used, how many, what was the clutch clearance set at, what size boost valves were put in the pump? Take pressure readings and post them.

Did they install any shift kit? if so what kind?
The servo is for 2nd gear but if its being released to
quick it would cause the flair your describing into 3rd.
The direct clutch is tough to get right for most average shops
that do not have alot of time into the 200 4r

I fix more "Transmission Shop" issues like this than I build transmissions.. go figure. Ends up costing the customer more in the long run.

My advice: Take it to someone who knows these transmissions first! ;)

Same here. I got one coming to me Monday that another shop here has done 3 times already and this guy is upset and wants it done. I am probably the only one here who does the 2004R and a lot of shops won't even touch them. Makes more business for me. :)

I also had a PTS Xtreme Direct Drum (hot loaded Red Eagle Alto) installed, I don't know any of the clearances. I installed a B&M shift improver kit myself about 10 years ago, just did everything as per instructions, can't remember the specifics. I really don't know any of the specs asked, and the trans shop that rebuilt it wasn't 200r4 specialist, and I just gave him some extra parts that I mentioned to install that I thought would help. Guess I will try and find a local shop to look at it. Thanks for the replies.
