    what will i expect

Maybe not on street gas but mine went 11.95 @ 111 mph with a stock turbo, intercooler, injectors, and torque converter using race gas and 28x10.5 slicks. It took a lot of tuning and sorting things out (like getting the converter to lock up under wide open throttle) but it certainly is possible...

Upper radiator hose hard to find?

I've been away from the turbo Regal scene for several years but I'm trying to get one of my GNs going after sitting disassembled for 4 years. Needing an upper radiator hose since the old one is mysteriously MIA. Called Autozone. Nope. Not even listed. Same at Advance. O'reilly showed 2 left at...

    '06 M5 encounter

Yep. I remember seeing that same vent in the fender that you can see in the second pic when I looked over at him. It made me wonder what kind of car it was but I sure didn't expect that to happen! Now I'm dreaming about upgrading the torque converter, drag radials, alky system, etc... I'm on the...

    '06 M5 encounter

About an hour and a half ago I was sitting at a red light in my '86 GN, first car in line, when a new looking black car pulled in the lane beside me. It was an older grey haired man about retirement age. No biggie. The road narrows to 2 lanes at the bottom of the hill and I'll be there first...

    What's the best Buick Bible?

There is nothing that beats the factory manual folks, and, next to a scan tool, is the best money you'll ever spend if you want to work on it yourself. As far as how to modify, this site, gnttype.org, your local Buick club, and your local drag strip are the best resources. Search out the guys...

    Rear diff yoke upgrade?

Hey John! Long time no see! Well I guess I didn't have to go any further than a local club member for the answer. Thanks! It needs to be replaced because the clips on the u-joint caps that center the u-joint in the yoke wore into the yoke. The driveshaft now moves around even with the straps...

    Rear diff yoke upgrade?

My rear diff yoke has gone bad and I'm weighing stock replacement vs. upgrade. I did a search and found a few mentions of a billet yoke but nothing about who makes it, where to get it, or how much it is. Can anyone help me out on what upgrades are available?

    Driveshaft vibration

I have found that the clips that hold the caps on the rear u-joint have eaten into the pinion yoke allowing the u-joint to move back and forth in the yoke. In other words, the driveshaft does not stay centered in the rear yoke anymore which causes varying degrees of vibration at highway speeds...

I have a '91 Chevy 1500 4x4 and it also has the floor shift for 4 wheel drive. The actuator in the axle housing is a common failure. The GM part # is 26013495 and list is around $162.81. GM warranty time to replace it is .3 of an hour.

    SVO vs GN

Feel free to correct me if I"m wrong but I remember the SVO's as being low 15 to high 14 second cars, where as the GN's were mid to low 14's.

    Noble

Well said, Steve. Like I posted in the "Ford vs Buick results" thread, the way I stage it doesn't matter which tree is used. But the pro tree keeps me from red lighting so I'm all over that!

    Ford vs Buick Results

I was the red light king before they started using the pro tree. I brought up switching to the pro tree every chance I got and was glad when they finally did it. No more red lights for me! It didn't change the way I stage, either. Just light up the first light, build about 5 or so pounds of...
