    Adam's Polish?

Any feedback on Adam's Polish, specifically the machine polish for the dual action buffer? Seems like a good product and was thinking of buying one of the kits with the Porter Cable D/A buffer.

    15w-40

Nick, All is good. I have no turbo buick experience just general experience. If your experience is such that this is what works on these cars, this is great valuable knowledge that all members can use. This is the great thing about these forums. I assume the higher wt oils produce better film...

I have an old Eclipse Head unit to. Can't remember the model number but it was what the pro's were using "back in the day". Higher pre-out was the major reason pros were using these head units. Not cheap, my Eclipse unit was around $1500 new back in the mid 90's. For me I ran a good quality rca...

    15w-40

What is the advantage of running the heavier wt oils? Most engine wear occurs on start-up especially with cars that sit for a while between drives. Factory specs are 10w30 -10w40 right? Just curious? On an other site (Real Olds Power) the has been a lot of praise with Schaffer(sp?) Oils series...

GNX-438 for sale or trade 1076 Miles

IMO. This car deserves to go to BJ auction. Detail the crap out of it and leave the plastic on the seats. It is just that nice. I'm sure someone will pony up the $75k and more.

If noise is an issue, I have had success with separating the power wire, speaker wires and rca outputs to the x-over / amps. Much like everything else quality wires set are critical here. Street Wires has some great stuff with braided thin copper wire and thick vinyl jackets. They have a 14 ga...

SGRIM, I think this a great idea. Provide the g-body folks a few well designed options. Perfect for the DYI'ers and other who want to know what works in these cars. Package prices along with directions and the peace of mind that sound quality will there is a great niche.

GN Car prices as of late ??

Confusing There appears to be large gap between fiction and reality which makes it difficult for someone looking to buy the right car. This site does seem to be priced higher but the cars seem more sorted out (generally speaking). A hypothetical question then: What is a nicely maintained 60k...

    Alky Performance

OK Razor if you say so -- you know more about this than I do. Just so I am clear. Cam - Leave alone Valve Springs - Leave alone Timing Set - Leave alone For your alky kits, which do you recommend for my set-up and how much?

    Alky Performance

OK. I know I have to change the valve springs. What about the timing set? I heard the gears are plastic and need to be replaced? Razor, I guess what your saying is at the performance level that I want (low 12's) and stock turbo, porting the heads is a waste of time and $. Correct?

    Alky Performance

Thanks guys. Since the car has 60k miles I think I will upgrade the cam, valve train and timing chain to Comp's 206/206 kit. I will also add an RJC boost controller and power plate and clean up / port the stock DP elbow. I want a nice easy driving street car that will have good power when needed...

    Alky Performance

What is a realistic power output from an alky kit (razor) on a stock long block 87 GN Ttop? Car has the required fuel pump, hot wire, scanmaster and will run on 91 octane with methanol.

    Stock Turbo and Alky

Julio, It was a general question. I suppose what the boost gauge reads. Let me ask you this, If you reduce the 4.5lb boost drop in IC to 2.5lbs with a dutt neck, will you be able to use that or turn actuator down? 91 octane with your alky kit.

    Stock Turbo and Alky

On a stock 87 GN with all the required upgrades (scanmaster, Adj regulator, fuel pump, hot wire, ram air intake, etc..) What is the psi limit of the stock turbo with alky before it becomes inefficient? Maybe Razor can chime in.

    Roller Cam and Value

    Any thoughts?

Here's the GN you've been waiting for...

Update Very nice car. I am in the process of getting 87 GN with T-tops. But you got me thinking twice now. I assume it needs nothing to be road ready. Will your wife drive the car or is it too much? BTW can't go wrong with 2112 or Hemispheres :)

    Roller Cam and Value

Value Factor For a street car, is the conversion to roller worth it? Are the drivability and performance increase worth the expense for this change? Currently, the car has 60K miles and I would like to change the stock valve springs, stock timing gear and add Razors alky kit. While, making...

    Roller Cam and Value

Does converting over to a mild roller cam set-up (206/206) hurt the value of these cars? I understand that the rollers are better with todays motor oils. But $800+ for a kit can buy alot of zinc oil additives. Is the drivability that much better with a roller set-up?
