    200-4R Fluid flow

    I plan on racing two classes this race season. so, i'd like to be able to cool the trans when hot lapping, 1/4 mile. i have a 18x18" external trans cooler upfront. that i will put a 16" fan on. i seem to remember something about full flow and lock-up???? Cheers!

    200-4r Governor trimming

    68 Skylark 3900lbs Buick 455 i bracket race the car with trans selector in 3rd. 1/2 shifts @4800 2/3 shifts@5200 i'd like them close to 6000 I read in the CK book that too light of a governor can cause a lot of problems. i think the governor is trimmed as much as it can be. Cheers!

    2004r 2-3 soft at times

    2004r 2-3 shift- takes a spit second at WOT 2-3 is firmer at half throttle than WOT. fresh rebuild, deep pan, filled plus 1qt. TV max at WOT. i did drill additional fluid exhaust holes in the drum 1-2 is nice and positive at all times. 2-3 is nice and snappy, except at WOT Cheers!

    2004r No 4th gear

    I have CK book but still looking for some help. i recently rebuilt the trans with a CK master kit. afterwards it does not make the 3/4 shift. i put a gauge on the 4th gear tap and i see appx 25lbs in 1,2,3,4th light exceleration driving on the freeway at about 50-60 i do not see a pressure jump...

    Hughes Deep Pan Filter

    I thought the correct filter was from a 700, but it's too short. I asked Hughes, they said it does not take an extention. 700 LEFT----200 Right Cheers! I shop at Autozone

    CK Performance 2-3 shift soft

    I just rebuilt my 200-4r with a CK Performance Master Kit. in "D" all feels great. The manual 1-2 is nice and positive but the 2-3 feels soft. I have a gage on the windshield so i can watch the pressures. 2-3 feel it soft so i have not tried it a WOT. Book says if it drops more then 15-20...

    I'm rebuilding my 2004r and doing update to make it live behind a 455. my guess it will make around 425-475hp. I bought a CK master kit with a forward drum, its going pretty good but have a question or two. When installing the ring that goes on top of the center support, i see it sits "too far"...

    Hardened input shaft?

    After 6 weeks of running a new 200-4r the input shaft broke while driving on the street. The builder said he may have made a mistake and used a non- hardened shaft. Can anyone tell if it's hardened or not? I took a file to the broken piece and it seems soft to me.
