    Bob Bailey ignition module

Here's an article about Kenny Duttweiler running Denso Iridium plugs on a 1850hp Twin Turbo V8 at 40psi. Not sure you can get a better recommendation than that. http://www.automedia.com/Iridium_Spark_Plugs/pht20010101ds/1

    Bob Bailey ignition module

My understanding is that the iridium plugs will not work well with our waste spark ignition, but if you move to Bob's LS1 CNP setup then you can use them and get the benefits (longevity and ability to fire under higher pressures).

New Drop In E85 Compatible Fuel Pump, DW300, January 2011

The .7 wasn't bsfc it was the ~30% increase in fuel requirement for E85. It's actually .68, but I rounded to .7. Regardless I took the rwhp to calculate the injector size when it should be engine hp. Sorry for the mix up. 850bhp * .68 = 578bhp on E85. 20% drive train loss, 578bhp * .8 =...

New Drop In E85 Compatible Fuel Pump, DW300, January 2011

Taking your calculation a step further. Rough calculation to get hp for E85. 850bhp * .7 = 595bhp on E85. Say 20% drive train loss, 595bhp * .8 = 476rwhp. Sticking with your .65 bsfc and then converting to E85, I get about 73 lb/hr injector size supportable by this pump at 18v for E85. What...

All‐new Ultra High‐Flow CEA turbine wheels announced

Gotta give it up for PTE for always pushing the envelope! So how would spool compare for the 5857 vs a new 5862 (w/ CEA turbine) on a bolt-on only stock long block turbo buick. Is a 62mm turbine wheel too big for stock cam and heads? .63 A/R only. PTE's websites says: 5857 605HP 5862 640HP

New Drop In E85 Compatible Fuel Pump, DW300, January 2011

62-65psi would be the low end for fuel pressure on a modified turbo buick. And that would be measured at the rail. Who knows what it would be at the pump.

New Drop In E85 Compatible Fuel Pump, DW300, January 2011

80lb injectors at 70% duty cycle is equivalent to 56lbs per hour. So sounds like going beyond 60lb injectors with a single DW300 pump and the stock lines is pointless. That's not what I was hoping to hear. BEATAV8, thanks for all the good feedback though!

    parts on the way

austinibew145, This is a very interesting test on E85's effect on fuel line. There's one thing I think you should consider though. Most of us run our fuel on the inside of our fuel lines rather than the outside. All joking aside, I suggest you get a good length of the fuel line...

    TE 44 vs 5857 jb

Precision doesn't make compressor maps for their turbos. I already asked. ;) Not sure if the stock heat shield fits with that turbo. Good question though.

    Valve cover gaskets...

I just got a pair of the Fel-pro Perma-dry blue with steel insert valve cover gaskets and they have these tabs (steel) on them in the corners that don't allow them to fit into the stock valve covers. Anyone else have this problem? Thanks. Fel-Pro Part Number: VS50156T Here's the gaskets on...

    te44 or t49

White smoke usually indicates water/coolant. Sounds like you may have a blown head gasket. Is your radiator overflow tank full of coolant, but your radiator low?

    Cheetah Turbo

Depends which one it is. First off, I would not consider any cheetah turbos if they are .82 AR exhaust housing. It'll spool way too slow. Go for .63 AR exhaust only. The Cheetah III is sorta between a TA-49 and a TE-44 I believe. The Cheetah IV is build to order custom turbo so it'll be...
