I'm kinda new to buicks. I have however read about some people whose pumps have gone bad not long after install. Is your fuel pressure going up 1:1 with your boost? any chance it could be false knock??? just some ideas. hth John

my stock torque converter will only stall to about 2k rpm. i have a TA 49 Turbo on my car so i start to get power at about 3000 rpm. I thought that the TA 49 was supposed to work with the stock converter. On the foot brake i cant build any boost. In conclusion my car is a dog off the...

I am looking into chip and injectors at the moment, prolly gonna go with TT. i have a scan master 2.1 it shows between 800 and 850 mv while in boost. the FPR is a stock one, i dont know if there is a way to turn up the fp. maybe i need an...

    Some Progress

I am running a completely stock setup with the exception of a TA49 turbo with a garrett exhaust housing. With only 7 psi im hoping that that is false knock, or maybe just picking up an exhaust leak or something. the car doesn't feel like its laying over or anything, it pulls fine once boost...

    Turbo Seal

Give this a try. Pull the elbow and look in the down pipe. The down pipe will most likely show signs of oil if the center section is leaking into the exhaust side. When my turbo went out there was oil in the intercooler, MAF, up pipe, down pipe. it was nasty. lol HTH, John

    Some Progress

I have gotten my 86 Grand national running, i am having a few issues with boost level readings. i have tapped my auto-meter boost gauge into the vac/boost line going to the charcoal canister from the vaccuum block. so this should be an accurate boost reading. any way my factory boost guage reads...
