I would run the 275/50-15 which are the same height as the 235 but each tire is almost 2 inch's wider. I have always ran the BFG's for drag radials and Mickey's for sliks just do not be afraid to run the air pressure in the low teens.

I run the Hotchkis and am very happy with it along with the HR rear bar. IMO the HR bar made a bigger difference than the Hotchkis for handling and so did the QA1 shocks, but the Hotchkis is far better than stock. Not familiar with the 1le. Bought the Hotchkis from Aggressive.

I have used this style for about 7 years with out issue, do not have a trans temp gauge to confirm performance. If you look closely under the lisc plate area you can see where I have it mounted.

Mine did that for years with a 3000 and a 3400 converter with numerous chips than when I installed a turbo tweek chip and it stopped.:confused: I have a th400 and my trans builder and others here have said to finish your burnout in 3rd gear to limit stress.

I have had 2 GN's and a 85 442 and they all did this but the additive helped tremendously. The 442 did it real bad from day one, so since there is a difference from car to car maybe it can be eliminated.

I changed first gear in my th400 to match the stock first gear of the th200. The only thing I would do different is to go with an internal trans brake as mine does not always work do to the heat.
