    87 GN Fuse Block question

I have been advised by Autometer to connect power to my electric fuel pressure gauge from a connection that has no power during start (cranking) mode. Can someone tell me which (or if any) of the ign 1 or ign 3 connections (other potential connection) in the fuse block will be unpowered during...

Kevin & Carl Thanks again for you interest and input Now I have another question. I have applied the TCI calculator to my car's data, as well as, the weight and advertised horsepower of approximately 12 cars which have been road tested recently by Car and Driver magazine. The TCI calculator...

    Tci horsepower calculator

Does anyone know if the TCI horsepower calculator (which uses 1/4 mile MPH and car weight) to calculate a HP number is representitive of flywheel or rear wheel HP? I believe this is an approximation of flywheel horsepower, but I do not know for sure.

Directscan maf log - opinions wanted

Please have a look at the attached scope log pic of a 1/4 mile run I made last weekend. Notice the up and down spikes in the maf display at the bottom of the screen. I have noticed these spikes in other logs. However, most logs have only 2 to 4 up and down spikes. Most street blasts (up to...

    Alcohol Nozzle orientation???

I have a DIY alcohol injection setup that I have used for several years. I use a NOS nozzle located in the up pipe about 8 inches in front of the throttle body. I originally ran the nozzle pointed toward the intercooler. My logic was that if the alcohol was sprayed into the oncoming air it...

What boost control range with RJC Controller

OK, is there a limit to the range of adjustability? For instance, my wastegate arm length is set such that with a "tuner style" set up I get 16.5 psi of boost. If I install the RJC controller can I expect to adjust it so that I can get 18 psi or 19 psi or 20 psi or higher just by tightening or...

What boost control range with RJC Controller

I understand how the RJC Controller prevents rising boost from being applied to the wastegate actuator until boost pressure overcomes the set spring force and unseats the ball. Therefore, the actuator keeps the puck closed and spool time is decreased. My question is: does the RJC controller...

Hot weather tunning verse cold weather tunning

Is it possible that the gasoline you have been getting recently contains a percentage of ethanol? If so, it has a lower stoich value than regular gasoline and therefore requires more fuel for proper combustion. Search for a thread I started in this forum on July 7th titled "Higher BLM with 10%...

Higher BLM with 10% ethanol gasoline?????

So does the logic that my higher blm numbers may be the result of my current gasoline containing 10% ethanol seem reasonable???????????????

Higher BLM with 10% ethanol gasoline?????

I have been chasing the cause for higher than normal blms in my '87 GN. Most cells will go to 136-137. I have NO vacuum leaks and I have changed the O2 sensor. The driveability is fine. However, something has changed slightly in the last 6 months or so. I learned last week that the gasoline...
