    And don't forget that the TPS is not the only means for the ECM to go into P/E mode. An LV8 of 160 or greater also forces P/E. Here's a cut and paste from the cal docs... 458 A0 160 160 D LV8 THRES. for P/E KLVWOT

    You have to ask MSD or look at the spec. I wouldn't think that 16 volts would be a problem, but you never know.

    Most aftermarket ignitions are cd ignitions. I only have experience with an MSD 7 and that was many many years ago, and I don't remember if it has output regulation. If you go by the specs provided by MSD, it implies output regulation. I'm sure most people are still running the stock ignition...

    You won't get a hotter spark because the current through the coil is limited to 6.5 amps. The ignition module will run hotter (temperature) too. You do , however, get the benefit of being able to rev higher before the ignition starts to fall off.

    I used a 1K ohm resistor...cause that's what I had. The ecm checks for a voltage swing, not current....
