XFI all the way!! Then you can call Cal from Hartline and he can tune your car without even being there. I have had both and to me, XFI is a much better system all around tuning wise.

My pipe is three inches and I also have a 70mm throttle body and plenum. Granted my intercooler is the power stroke and yours is stock location but as ttypewhite said you should be able to tap into any up pipe.

It sounds to me like a spark issue there has been numerous people having issues with the stock coil pack. I would recommend you bring your coil to an Oreilly Auto Parts because they can test your ignition coil at the store. If that test out okay then I would pick up a inline spark plug tester...
