    Hmm, I have two G-bodies, one with steel braided lines and the other I just replaced the 25 year hoses with new rubber ones and didnt notice a difference detween the two cars. The real difference is just replacing the old stock ones with new ones.

    Oh, and by the way, my car is an 86 cutlass for anyone fuming at the idea of putting an sbc in place of the 3.8 turbo motor. As a matter of fact, I am in the process of putting together a buick motor to replace the chevy motor.

    The sound is coming from the valvetrain, and it does not sound like a bearing, and yes, it has the correct bearings.

    I just recently put new bearings, rings, etc in my engine that ran well. I put it back together with the same lifters and cam only to hear alot of loud metallic valvetrain noise, it doesnt sound like lifter ticks, anyone know what could cause this?
