    GN Die Cast wanted

Does anyone know where I might buy a die cast model of a stock 87 GN? All I can find are "modified" in some manner or another and not to my tastes. I would like a model that shows the car as it originally was built by Buick.

Read this if you plan on getting your car painted

I am planning to take mine in soon and this is good info. When you refer to the trim piece I assume you are talking about the "spoiler" along the top rear of the deck. If so I checked mine to see what you referred to and it appears to me that mine is attached with studs from the trim, through...

3"Chrome alum. MAF pipe/3" black alum. MAF pipe/underdrive pulley

Good price but price is not the obstacle. I bought a long pipe several weeks ago and there was no way to cut it to make it fit the stock air box/MAF sensor. I returned it and the guy I bought it from told me I would not find a pipe for a stock system anywhere. I have tried and no one has one...

    Antenna dilema

Can anyone tell me how to get at the antenna mounted on the front fender? I think the one I have is supposed to be a power unit. If it is it doesn't work. I plan on getting the car resprayed next month and thought I would install new antenna before taking it in.

3"Chrome alum. MAF pipe/3" black alum. MAF pipe/underdrive pulley

Thanks for the reply. I tried a long pipe and did not work so I went back to stock. I was hoping to get the short one in chrome.

    MAF pipe

Thanks I already bought one for a cold air kit unknowingly. Tried for several hours to determine if and where I could cut it and came to the determination that the bends were wrong and the angles were wrong in addition to the overall length being wrong. I will just keep looking or keep the...

    MAF pipe

Not sure if this is the correct place for this but none of the other forums looked any more relevant. Does anyone know where I can buy a 3" polished aluminum or chrome MAF pipe to fit a stock 87 GN with stock turbo, stock MAF sensor, and stock air box? I do not want a cut to suit beat to fit...

3"Chrome alum. MAF pipe/3" black alum. MAF pipe/underdrive pulley

Does the short pipe come with the rubber hoses? I want a pipe to fit an 87 wth stock turbo, stock MAF sensor and stock air box, without requiring any modification. Does that pipe fit the bill?

    Puzzled

I kinda thought the same thing but the car is almost pure stock except for an old chip which I will replace with tt chip when it gets here. The fuel pressure regulator is also stock. I really do not know what to look for to detect a hot wire but the wiring by the tank underneath the car does...

    Puzzled

This morning I decided to install my new fuel pressure regulator and fuel pressure gauge. To relieve pressure I removed the fuel pump relay and started the engine. I expected it to run for a few seconds and stall. It did not. It ran for 10 minutes and still didn't stall. Thinking I had...

    fuel pressure gauge query

Thanks for all your input. You have validated what I thought. I had an oil pressure sending unit, on another car, that the previous owner had mounted on a long brass pipe nipple and a 90 degree fitting and the nipple cracked causing a leak. When I went to replace it, it fell off in my hand...

    fuel pressure gauge query

I just received a fuel pressure gauge kit from Kirban's. Pretty straight forward but after reading the instructions I seem to detect a CYA tone by saying things like gauge is for tuning purposes or "if" you leave it connected after checking pressure be sure to check often for leaks. It is a...

    Engine temperature

I have been in touch with Eric. I have ordered a Scanmaster and Eric has explained the functional difference between his chip and the Pit Bull now in there. When I get the scanmaster hooked up and figured out I will determine my next step.:smile:

    Engine temperature

Any thoughts on engine temperature. I am looking at Hypertech 41372 chip which recommends 160 deg. They also have one for 180 deg. but recommended the 160 version. Said more HP. Don't know whats in there now so I would just replace thermostat. E-mailed turbo tweak twice with no reply but...
