Antenna dilema

Can anyone tell me how to get at the antenna mounted on the front fender? I think the one I have is supposed to be a power unit. If it is it doesn't work. I plan on getting the car resprayed next month and thought I would install new antenna before taking it in.

I have done this 2 times. remove all bolts in wheel well. remove bolt under bottom of fender under car by the frame. open the passenger door and remove the 4 bolts inside the door jam. the bolt with the star washer holds the antenna to the car. gently pull the bottom of the fender out about 5 inches from the car to access the antenna. if u need more info Robert 909-553-9713 live in so Cal.
