Yesterday I started my truck and put it in drive.. While doing so, I felt the shifter loose all its tension. Now the tranny is stuck in Drive and it wont go into park or anything else. The shifter is loose and it wont start back up now that its stuck in gear. Anyone have any ideas? Easy fix or...

Just bought a 99 Chevy 1500 Z71, 5.3, ext cab. Need to put new tires on it. I'm a little confused with the load ratings.... Looking at the Nitto Grappler AT's but not sure if i should go with a D or E load rating. The most i ever plan to tow is a car (GN) and I dont plan on carrying much weight...

For those Chevy and GMC owners... is there a huge difference between the 4.8 and 5.3 motors? Would the 4.8 be enough to tow a GN or would it be overtaxed? I've been hoping to find a used Chevy or GMC with the 5.3 but it seems like everytime i find the perfect truck, it has the 4.8. Kinda turns...

I might be buying a truck from a private party in New York. I need to drive the vehicle back to Vermont. Does anyone know If I can get temp transit plates from NY DMV without actually going there in person? VT DMV said I needed to get the transit plates from NY, not VT.

The truck i'm looking at is a 97 F-250 XLT H/D ext cab, 5.8, auto. I'm assuming that should be adequate to pull a GN.

I plan on getting an open trailer.

Is an F-150 or 1500 Chevy sufficient to tow a GN or would I be better suited looking at 250's and 2500's? I have a 97 F-250 HD with a 351 V8 i'm looking at this week... i'm sure that would suffice, but should I be considering 1/2 tons as well?

I would take a Sig over a Glock, but Glock would be my second choice over any other. I own a Sig P239 .40 and If money wasn't an issue, I would get a P229 .40. I actually need something with a higher capacity so i'm getting a G22 next week. Both are great weapons.
