    Got My New TE-45A Installed!

The TE45a works fine on a stock long block as long as you have enough converter which IMHO is 3400+. It loves high boost! You need to run it up to be able to get air thru the (restrictive) stock heads. Jim

    A/C high pressure side fitting

What size is the high pressure side tap in the line coming off the condenser? I went to hook up my gauges (R12) to check my system and the tap is smaller than my hose fitting or the low pressure side tap for that matter. Is an adapter of some kind required? The gauge set I have uses the same...

    The downside to roller cams

Sorry to hear about your problems Bob. If Jason is interested and needs any info on lifter dimensions and the like have him contact me. All of the roller lifters GM uses (and used in the past) from Delphi are the "pocket" design. The "fork" style parts are from Eaton and are only used on...

New times with new combo...few ???'s

I launch the car in 2nd gear and let it shift automatically 1-2 (about 5400). I believe there is more line pressure when the trans is in 2nd gear so you get a good firm shift. I then shift manually 2-3 around 5300 rpm. I don't lock the converter at the line since I'm concerned about the...

New times with new combo...few ???'s

With the stock heads and cam you definately want to be locking up the converter. At 5400+ rpm the power is falling off very quickly. Lock the converter after you go into 3rd gear and you'll like the results. Jim

Wilwood front brakes - early lock up

I installed a Wilwood front brake kit on my car over the Winter. Just got the car out and took it for a test drive. The fronts are now locking up on moderately hard stops. I'm assuming this is due to more piston area with the Wilwood calipers. Has anyone else experienced this and how was it...

    UB Machine UCA's caution

Thanks John. I think I heard the stockers are somewhere around 10# so quite a nice weight savings. Jim

    UB Machine UCA's caution

John, Can you post the weight of the assembly including the ball joint? If you have the weight of the stock arm that would be great as well. Thanks, Jim

    UB Machine UCA's caution

Has anyone figured out the best way to keep these from contacting the frame in full rebound? Thanks, Jim

    Guys with manual steering

Dave - Are you saying just remove the pump/lines/etc. and run a shorter belt with the existing bracketry and tensioner? I guess I was under the impression that there was some reason this wouldn't work. I know the Champion bracket is the slick setup if you want to spend the $$. Thanks, Jim
