Nokian tires
Allegedly they make the best winter tires going but did you check the price?
Last I looked they were $400 each, way too rich for my blood!

Seatbelt webbing
Thanks for bringing the subject up. I have been looking for a bulk supplier of grey webbing to replace mine also. I look forward to learning where one might obtain about 30 or 40 feet of the material. The bright yellow webbing that they use for lashing down freight on trucks...
No flash LED's
Well Chris is sounds like you have all the right parts installed and now they don't flash so I suggest its time to trouble shoot the system.
First of all did the signal lights, tail lights and brake lights work previous to your conversion?
If yes then try removing all but one...
Flashers for LEDs
What type flasher did you replace the old one with? If it isn't the right flasher the current draw isn't great enough to make the flasher switch off and on.
LED conversion
I converted almost all my incandescent lamps to LEDs a couple years ago. I just use the same flasher used for those who pull camper trailers with their cars. Those flashers maintain the same flash rate regardless of load. Less heat less current draw on the alternator I...
Brass fittings
This is a long shot but worked for me when I needed a 90° brass fitting to accommodate my fuel pressure gauge installation a few years ago.
Go to a refrigeration supply house and take a sample of what you want they have a huge array of fittings and I know for a fact that the...
Auto parts shipped into Canada
I have purchased a lot of parts over the past several years and learned the hard way that parcel post is the most efficient way to go. I get nailed for duty about every third or fourth shipment. I paid Jax an additional $10 to have someone hoof my seatcovers...
#6 and #7 body mount bolts
I had the same issue. I cut the sheet metal in the trunk to get access to the diamond shaped fastener nuts you mentioned. I had to break a couple of them because they were rusted beyond saving. Then I bought stainless bolts and nuts to replace the ones I destroyed...
replacing seat covers
I did my front seats a few months ago. First side I did the hard way with needle nose pliers and expletives.
Next day I spent the $50 for the right tool and bought a bag of hog rings which made the job much much easier.
Now the headrests? That's a different story...
LED conversion
Someone inquired about dash lamp light dispersion which I forgot to address in my last post.
On my car I never liked the dash lighting even after I pulled the honeycomb things and filed them out wider trying to overcome the poor design but even going to all that trouble didn't...
LED conversion
There are four 1157's and two 1156's in the tail lamp assemblies, I forget what the third brake lamp on the package deck takes but I think I bought a 1156 right angle one for that application. I'm happy with the light dispersion keeping in mind that I bought the ones with most...
LED conversion
I did that a year or so back and my suggestions are:
-buy the lamps that have the greatest output (the more LEDs the more light) that will physically fit your application
-the exception to that rule would be the shifter indicator lamp, I bought the brightest and find its too...
hot air
On my car the hot air comes from the missing rubber gasket that runs across the cowl between the hood and the cowl edge. If there isn't a good seal there it allows hot air from the engine compartment to get sucked into the blower intake screen just below the passenger wiper area.
