Florida to Cali * roadtrip

Hi tori. For some peace of mind most sensors in the car are new,new wires, new spark plugs, translator with lt1 maf,new fuel filter, injectors,ECM believe me on that one, fresh oil,new PS pump, etc. not saying some spare parts are not a good idea it's almost a 30 year old car and a long trip.

Lol..ps pump ecm and injectors ..now thats prepared..and..or turbo regal paranoia

Fast4ward, i gotta say, i don't like 99% of most aftermarket rims on the GN, but damn ! your car looks correct. That stance ! 10pts sir !

Okay, back on track. Got our time off work approved, and plane tix in hand. Sept. 11 we fly out to get the car. Probably stay the nite in Miami, take my girl out somewhere nice, spend the morning checking out the right coast's beaches then hit the road.

Suggestions welcome.

We'll make our way toward the 75N and onto 10W toward New Orleans, then continue W on the 10...........

Just ordered up a console armrest from Highway Stars for the 3,000 mile drive home. Having it shipped to 1987GNASTROROOF so it'll be waiting for us when we arrive. (y)

If you make it through TX on your trip there is plenty of help here in the DFW area if needed. Good luck on your trip and the car.

Thanks. Definitely going thru TX just not that far north. Houston, San Antonio way.....

Those are good too. I'm gonna talk to the CA. DMV and see about the plates they say are already taken, yet when i search the smog test history (i work at a smog shop) many of them haven't been smogged in 10 or so years which means they don't have current registration. Maybe there's something they can do with unused plates ?

Another i've thought of that i might go with:

Since you're going through Houston, PM Jerryl for contact info. There are quite a few guys in Houston and he may be able to hook you up with a few for dinner or something one night.;)

That would be awesome. Would be cool to put together a lil' GN support gatthering/dinner. I have a friend in Houston i'd have to bail on then,..... but hey.... this sounds fun.

I wish i would have responded sooner. It's okay though, it wouldn't have been legal in CA. anyway. It needs C.A.R.B. # stamped into it. I would have had to pull some shenanigans to make it work.
Thanks again though.

BTW, the console/armrest shipped out today. You should have it on your doorstep Friday. :)

Ok cool I'll keep an eye for that. Started your new toy today for about 15min. Like a champ.

Not that it has anything to do with the trip, but to keep the thread alive.....

Been getting some work done in the garage in prep for the new tenant. Had the far wall drywalled and finished, and i've epoxy painted the floor. It's gonna get real small in here with the big GN. The Mini, Streetbike, racebike, pit bike, and a special build aluminum hull PWC.

Danny, go ahead and print this out and show it to your car. Show him his new home. :D
