XTSM - Extreme TSM

Same here Ronnie :). I would say the "*Factory Stock Appearing External Body must have headlights/tailights (81-87 Regal)
*FSA glass windows" rule would keep the street in it as you call it. But what you can't see on the inside at 130+ mph doesnt make or break a street car. You bringin the Banana down to NC??
Probably not after the comment you made to Bobby B. I think I will stay north and run THS.

I wish everyone would step back and lets work together to build this class up. I don't get a dime for any of the time or money I've put into this.

I just want more participation in the class period. This is an opportunity for everyone to give and get..

109 TSM racers will be given a weight brake, stage engines will get a weight penalty.

If after the first race we see something that needs to be changed we will change it to keep cars competitive. End of story.

I hope all of the guys that raced this year keep an open mind and come back out in 2012 along with a new group of racers that will be joining in on the fun too..

Not enough info on that engine combo Lonnie, as you race we can make adjustments.

The 3800 is a production Buick V6. Whats not to know? No way it should be lumped in with the stage stuff. I do believe in what you guys are trying to do with the class. So in the best Interest of TSM and furthering this discussion without a pi$$in contest I will just say it is what it is.

I like how all the old rules are gone all stickys are gone looks like this is no longer up to the racers.

Guess I will throw it out there. 3800 series 2 or 3 run at 109 aluminum head weight? Still 4 bolts per cylinder and Iron head. 3650 for an engine that is limited to 234" is pretty painful. Its still a production Iron head engine to boot. Anyone have Issue with this?

Lonnie,
Sorry I left them off the list. On my list I would have them racing at 3550 along with the stage 3.8 any head. Sound fair to you???

See ya, Kip

Kip our class is gone if you wanna start it back up we are on board with you.

I like the weights Kip posted better. What about wipers?horn?lights?
I had to buy and add all this stuff to my car inc exhaust now to take it back off?
Maybe exhaust existing in stock location but allowing a dump would make it more STREET and make more sense
This was STREET the "S" in TSM
I added power steering, also

What he said!

Bobby is not new to TSM he has been around TSM a long time just sitting out a few. The class has just gone a long way away from what it was intended.

Kip got the weights right in my opinion.

Jason has been with TSM since day 1 .He has been to every race and supported every event in 4 years that I have been to.

What have you done for the class ?

Jason took over TSM when it was just left abandoned.

What have you done ?

Jason put all his time and own money into this year.

What have you done ?

So ,what have you done ?

I think Jason has an understanding of whats needs to be done.

ok
lets see what events your new class can attend !

I have shown up that what matters. What have you done besides piss everybody in both classes off???

Looks like final decision has been make. I would be fine at 3550.

Hey Ronnie, hate to see you guys leave TSM but I understand where you are coming from. If I hadn't put that cage in my car and pulled the air out I would probably have joined THS myself. Unfortunately for me to much money spent now on the car to turn back.

Ronnie what do you guys need to stay in TSM? I for one am listening.

Lonnie Again I am on board with Kip I think 3550 would be a reasonable starting point with the 3.8 stage blocks.

If you are really slow and everyone is dragging you down the track maybe it will be adjusted. (insert humor) I am sure you will have it making plenty of power though but it should be adjusted if needed.

I agree and that statement makes me have to ask why you changed the weights etc from what I put up? You have a bunch of guys who have or are still racing TSM saying they liked what I did and you still changed. You keep saying it can be adjusted later, why not go with what the racers are telling you?

Thanks, Kip

He stated final decision on 12/1 Lonnie so whatever would bring the car count up needs to be considered. Not knowing much about those engines and you saying 3550 is a good starting point then so be it.

Because its not about you. ;)

Looks like some good ideas here, from many people. IMHO, I think it will help the car count. Looks much like the racing I'm use to, Limited power adder, weight breaks, and different engine combos. This is how most tracks/classes/events are put together now with all the different cars/power plants/power adders out there. ODRA, X275, KOTS, Yellow Bullet etc... I think this could be a great leap forward for the car count as well as new or easier engine/car combinations. Torque will be the factor to control :) i.e. 109 with stock steel heads, stock stroke will not make the torque of a stage II, big stroke, with Don's heads, even though HP could be close to each other because of the turbo size. Torque on the other hand, would be what will have to be controlled by the weight factor. it's going to take a race or two to figure it all out, but I bet it will be fun!
I, for one, would like to see a 67mm/stockhead/109 @ 3100 lbs
