How Hot?

bunch of babies

i was remodeling a bathroom NO AC in the house wearing a T shirt and a sweat shirt.
i looked like the pilot from that "Airplane" movie from the 80s.

i did manage to put down 5 liters of water.:eek:

It's been a little warm out here in the corn field too. Pool water 95. 93 in the garage. Grass burned up,no need to mow. Com Ed says I've got the highest usage in a 1.2 mile radius of my place and We should cut back a little. I'll cut back in Jan & Feb maybe.

Oh yeah, Look at mine.......:biggrin::biggrin:

Well you guys are *****s. My house has A/C and I only use it after 9 PM.:biggrin: My last electric bill was $78 and yes, it's hot in Texas. Once you get acclimated to it it isn't that bad. Remember to drink lots of fluids and take cool down breaks during the day. I even spray my dogs down with water in the afternoon to cool them down.:cool:

My county is under a burn ban and at least once a day the FD is going to a fire because it's so damn hot and dry.:mad:

Yep

I was standing under a car in one of my lube shops training some newbies thinking. I need to get the plow trucks ready . 96 heat index of 112 .. 156 at the lube rails .the fridge at work is a vacation in alaska .. The guys huddle around the open door like theres a keg in it ...

Saw 105 on the trucks overhead display today driving thru New Haven, not sure how accurate. Now at the new job two weeks. Finding out how crappy the HVAC systems are. Got sprinklers spraying on the condensor coils on the main problem unit trying to keep it from kicking off on high head pressure. To make matters worse we had a power outage during the peak of the heat in the afternoon. 2nd floor of the nursing home was at 86 degrees. Most of the patients it doesn't bother too much but dealing with the nurses and aides is a joy. Take it out on the new guy even though the problem has been there for years.

It is nice to have the best AC system working in the section of the building my office is located in.:) Don't know about you Brett but AC at home has been on all summer. Will gladly bitch about the bill to be in comfort. Will be working on the GN tomorrow removing the cat and emissions chip in air conditioned comfort knock on wood that there isn't any power failures.:)

Oh yeah, Look at mine.......:biggrin::biggrin:

Looks like you might be going for a new state record or something. The more you use the cheaper it gets, right? Less per unit. You should be getting that volume discount next month. You should ask that fella, the one that drives the armoured car,that comes by to pick up the check.:wink:

It's funny that you show your bill. The electric company around here has a 'rewards program' that discounts your electric bill if you allow them to remotely cycle your air conditioning. I've heard from several people today complaining that their A/C was off for 8 hours during the hottest part of the day.

I'll take my higher bill, thank you!!

Yesterday I got a call from Satan... he said he wants his weather back!!! 101 yesterday, 115 in the shop!!! Still beats shoveling snow!! Phil.;)

LOL!

I was in long island and jersey yesterday and my thermometer in my truck was reading 103...

I hate to tell you guys this but I win!

I am in Indiana and got you guys beat. I am at work and it is around 140 to 155 thoughout the mill. It is just a bit on the warm side this week. I hate when people complain about the heat when the work outside or in a regular factory. I work in a freakin steel mill and people will as if it gets hot! Duh! It was 100 on thursday with the heat index of 115. That's hot but I was at work and in front a 480 volt fan it was 146. Our safety guy came around and was checking temps where everyone was working. So fella's. That is what hot really is.
