Fontana to close?

for you being so super intelligent ................its very obvious.

A. drive thru Fontana, what do you see???:frown:
B. upholstery shop..... have you seen a white guy doing upholstery?
C. complaining about racing noise....... who would complain that you "can't hear your mariachi music" :p
D. drive thru southern calif, what do you see? :frown:

while I'd like to claim I'm smart, we all know better than that!

I'm going to laugh if he is Pakistani.

It seems the drag track operators are more wanting to keep the track going than the track owner. The owner is not totally convinced that spending a million dollars for a sound wall will be worth the investment. She feels that it would be more economical to just open the parking area for the Nascar event and make money on the parking spots.
The owner is the person dealing with the lawsuit. The operators have gotten some lawyers, too.

speedway is owned

by International Speedway Corporation - a company owned and ran by the France family, they also own and run Nascar.
and Gillian Zucker is president of "the track" in Fontana.
it all comes down to MONEY, and greed!
regardless of the outcome of court/legal battles, if its profitable, they will make the improvements.

Who's 'the woman' then? I keep hearing about a woman.

The problem I see is, if they spend a million bucks on a sound barrier wall for the drag racers, how long would it take to recoup that investment, compared to just opening up the space to parking and making money on the spots right now?

What caused them to move the drag track from one side of the lot to the other?

The reason for moving the track was to accommodate NASCAR wanting to build some kind of clubhouse on that side.

Anyone up that high in a corporate ladder, esp a woman, will eat you alive if you get in the way.
Corp and career everything else is expendable.

Oh don't get so snitty...same thing that happens with you Polacks when it comes to screwing in light bulbs, happens with us Scottmen whenever a beer bottle or bottle of Scotch needs opening...

Then once its open...a fight breaks out....

Large hairy men dressed like Catholic school girls with no delicates on underneath their skirts just should not be fighting....what has been seen cannot be unseen...

DON: YOU ARE GETTING SOMEWHAT BARBARIC THESE DAYS. ALSO, CHECK OUT THE CORRECT SOURCES THAT ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR SHUTTING DOWN FONTANA. NOT LIBERALS, NOT CONSERVATIVE-JUST BIG BUSINESS THAT ARE DRIVEN BY $$$$$$$. AND, DON'T FORGET SAN DIEGO'S PARADISE DRAG STRIP THAT SHUT DOWN A COUPLE YEARS AGO. I RACED THERE AND WAS A FILL IN STARTER-UH, NO TREE, JUST ONE FLAG WITH A SPOTLIGHT FOR NIGHT DRAGS. SOME REAL BIGGIES RACED THERE AND ARE STILL AROUND (ROUND WAIST) AND HANG OUT @ LOCAL WATERING HOLES.
