That's a good idea, that's the main reason I made this thread, maybe I can prevent this from happening to someone else.

He's a great kid, truly a one of a kind. I will be back and riding as soon as my body lets me, but with a new found respect for safety and why it's so important to wear protection, it's not just for the bedroom...lol. Tell him I said hello and that I'll be fine, Nelly. :)

P.S. Some people have not been as fortunate as me, they don't get to tell their story. I'm lucky I guess!

Ouch!

Which version of the motorized bicycles are you working with? My dad bought an 80cc kit from ebay and put in on a garage sale bike, turned out real nice. His runs about 30 mph, he seems to like it, but I don't think I would care to pedal it very far....there is a little too much drag in the chain and clutch for me with the motor disengaged.

Wow, that looks like you took a pretty nasty spill Nelson! Sorry to hear, but glad you're okay and still with us.

Take care and be safe in the future.

Steve

yeah I got hit on my motorcycle going about 35... you would be suprised how far you will slide. I was wearing a full face helmet, but it was about 105 degrees that day and I was cruising through town wearing a jersey with a t under it and jeans. So my arms and knees got pretty tore up. Me helmet and visor just had huge scratches down the front of it, right about where my eye/cheek was.

That sucks. But at least your not brain dead.

I think we got the crash on film
