Dear Board Members,

My 11 month old son Joshua will be going in for surgery on December 17.
You may remember him from my avatar that always uses his picture since he was born. Sadly he was born with a birth defect to his urinary track that needs to be resolved. He is expected to make a full recovery and maybe even be released the same day. However as a first time parent thinking about my son going under general is very upsetting to me. What makes this a little worse for Sharon and I is that will be spending his first Christmas and Birthday (Jan 3) recovering.

I have never been the kind of person to ask for anything in life but for my son I will make an exception. Please pray for his surgery and recovery when you get a chance, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Suddenly the cars are not so important are they?

You have a good looking boy there. My prayer was for your son and the Dr. doing the procedure. I have all the confidence that the surgery will go perfect. Before U know it hes gonna be asking for the keys to the Buick:eek: .

Here he is laughing at his mother.

John,

I will definitely say a prayer for Joshua's surgery and speedy recovery. I'm sure he also has some Angels that will be watching over him.

Believe that everything will be alright when you pray and thank God for it, and through faith your blessings have already been granted. Prayer sent. Be strong big guy and let your wife feed off of your confidence.

Good luck with the surgery. Im sure it will go ok. Even though he may be recovering from his surgery on his birthday, atleast he will be headed towards a better life. So, it cant be thought of as being that bad.

My family is thinking of yours John. You may remember when my son Wes was 1 year old and was severly dehydrated from a virus and we spent a week in the hospital. It's tough seeing those little guys with the IV in the arms. They want to get up and play just like they are at home and it took all we had to keep him occupied. It will be tough but be strong and everything will be OK.
