I'm moving to the UK! If gas wasn't so expensive over there I'd think about taking the GN but for now I'm leaning towards storing her. tips/advice welcome, what do I need to do to it before putting it in storage? I imagine some gas stabilizer, fresh oil change, wash/wax/cover...

are there any mods to the wiring needed to handle 200 amps or is it b-n-p bolt-n-play :D ? I've got a bad bearing in mine that catches every now and then and makes a aweful noise. Its either replace the bearing and rebuild or the easier route, getting a new one.

Looks like I"ve got a 4in metal line from metal fule line fitting to a rubber hose coming from the fuel filter towards the front of tha car. Then its 30 inches or so of rubber line then back to steel tube again. Now my question, I plan on replacing the rubber line with steel tubing...

I broke a vc bolt myself :D Used the bolt extractor from the hardware store, this gizmo has a drill tip on one end and a easy out on the other. So you drill a little into the portion of the stud thats visible then use the other end to remove the bolt. Works like this: regular drill bit...

I've got a adjustable fuel pressure regulator and as soon as the engine is off the pressure drops to 0. HOw long should it take for the AFPR to bleed down? If the AFPR has a vacuum leak inside would it in turn have a hard time raising the fuel pressure under boost? Could enough vacuum leak...

This happened to mine as well, there is a controller for the factory alarm buried up in the dash, picture it being behind the headlight switch...... its mounted vertically and is a pain to unplug - but once you do no more flashing security light. You could also try to fix it :D

I actually did make one with some gasket material. I cut it out in the shape of that vac block and put the vacuum holes that are in the doghouse in the same places. Luckilly they aren't "port matched" to the vac block. :D I'm going to get the gasket from the dealer so I'll have a spare if...

hey, thanx for the part number. I was gonna try Kirbans but will check my local GM dealers. I'm sure it'll need to be ordered, they didn't even have a correct ignition key for my GN when I needed a copy.

Just replaced my vacuum block and noticed there was no gasket under it. Can I get this somewhere or even make one? I"m thinking I may have had a lil vac leak there and from what I've read there should be a gasket. Does GM still carry this gasket? Where can I get this bugger? TIA :)

hmm, why does 120 amps stick in my head. :) Like you I went kinda into mild shock at hearing $159 for the alt and also saw that napa lists a slew of them all over the amp spectrum.

are the Autolite 133s the same as the 24s with the electrode cut back?

indexing the plugs may not be worth the hassle but cutting back the ground electrode isn't difficult, It'll give me something to do during the dead time at work. At least it doesn't look like there are any negatives to doing this
