Installed an XFI system with Otto today on a friends GN that hasn't run in a year due to the old Gen 6 malfunctioning. Installed an injector hotwire on it also. Real easy install, pretty much plug and play. The car already had the 02 bung in the downpipe from the old system.

Combo on the car is a T-netics BB70Q, Champion irons, PTE billet 210/210, 1.65 T&Ds, 3" downpipe with racegate, 75# delphi injectors with hotwire, stock pistons, rods, crank, main caps, ARP hardware, non lock-up Art Carr 2004R trans and 9" converter.

Car made really nice power, 546 rwhp @ 24.5# boost, 25* timing on C-16. We figured that was good for now as it has all stock internals pretty much. XFI is really the cats assss, I'm really impressed with everything about it and had a blast playin with the system. I have all the software now and will be up late for a few nights learnin stuff....... :D

Big thanks Otto for comin up and helpin with the install and dyno tuning. Hartline for the system and all the service lately. Thanks a bunch! Someday maybe I'll have an XFI....... Did I just say that?

Lots of fun today..........

The car started and ran fine. I don't think Otto changed anything on the way to the dyno, only 5 miutes away. After the dyno, in the parking lot, we worked on slight tip in, and spool from a dead stop/idle to basically WOT (until the car comes up on boost). Only took a couple minutes. The boost guage in the car was reading 17# when FAST was reading 24.5. I brought and changed the 3 bar MAP just to be sure the one on the car was correct and it was. Goes to show, guages aren't always correct and need to be verified......

I have an absolute blast everytime I'm learnin/playin with FAST. I love my ME-R and chips, don't get me wrong but FAST is a good time..... I don't get out enough as it is. I'm rebuilding engines in the house and trannies out in the shop until warmer weather comes. Now that I've got the FAST in my laptop and have installed/dynoed one, I will def do these now if the owner wants/needs one. Otto's not far and will def be called in to help tune the car. The dyno is pretty much available whenever I want which is another good thing. Kinda funny, everytime I'm with Otto I'm either on a plane or in a casino..... We almost went to Foxwoods last night after work..... Glad we didn't, I feel like chit.......This winter has SUCKED on the colds/sick for me.... Another couple weeks the good weather should be here.....

Thanks Russ, I am available for installation and tuning within a reasonable distance.N ow order yours and we can get your car tuned in
Cal,That start up was real good,Needed to add about 13% to the fuel table,But it was running a larger turbo than your tune.

Same car, same stuff with pump fuel and Razors alky, 25# boost, 573hp/708tq yesterday. This is on a tired stock short block with a roller cam and Champion irons. Pistons, rods, crank, caps all stock. Might have been able to make more but due to the AC trans pukin fluid and a converter that needs tightening we called it love.........

Otto then procceded to do his imitation of a John Force burn out in the middle of downtown Bridgeport CT, uninsured, unregistered, no plate, completely totally sideways for over 300 ft!! I mean people were pulling off the road to get out of the way!!!!) He says he was in control.......WHATEVA!! I found it absolutely halarious........:D

Anyway, thanks for the dyno access dude, Had a blast................And now I'm home!!!

Otto now you did it

I knew that Otto would bring you over to the Dark Side:)

Just wait until he shows you the two step, internal logger, traction control, and all the other neat stuff the XFI can do.

Sounds like you are having fun, hope it warms up for you soon.
