would colder plugs make the car fail?

hi
i have ac delco cr42 plugs in the car now, should i put 44s back in for emission testing?

It could depending on tune.Go hotter,have car hot before test,FP turned down,emission chip if needed,cat back on,and all visual items if your state requires that part of test.
 
I would say yes. A cold plug could put you over the limit if you are boader line. On the other hand I pass NY on rollers with 42's and using a Extreme chip which does not use the Egr. I do have a 3'' cat on though. Good luck.
 
Ive gone through many times in the past with 42's, 210-205 cam, R42's and no problems with a cat. Hold the car at 2k rpm right before the test to get the cat really hot. It will lower your emissions. Dont shut the car off before the test. Keep it hot.
