Wot?

I've had my GN for over two years now, but I finally have a scan tool and am ready to start tuning.

Here's my newbie tuning question:

How do I know when I'm at WOT? Do I just push the petal all the way to the floor? Do I need to be parked or driving?

Thanks for the help on the simplest of questions!

WOT is determined by a certain voltage, given by your Throttle Position Sensor.

when the TPS sensor hits a certain voltage, it tells the ECM that the throttle is wide open.

Set your scantool on TPS reading
just turn the key on, you dont have to start the car.
press your pedal all the way down and see what the votage is.

if the votage is anywhere from 4.50 - 4.90
they your tps is set right. and you should be good to go.

TPS should be set at anywhere from .40 to .44 at idle with no pedal applied.

go to www.gnttype.org and look up "quick reference" to see more important tuning numbers and values.

or do a search on this site for " setting TPS"
and read away !
